“Line” at Attleboro Arts Museum
Thanks to everyone that has gone to check out this exhibition so far! Still have about two weeks left to see this special 1/1 24×36″ print of my body painting “Supreme Court” in person (exhibiting in a black floating frame).
LINE – A National Juried Exhibition
June 15th – July 15th, 2017
Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Featuring over 100 works from national artists.
In January 2017, the Attleboro Arts Museum posted an online national call-for-artists requesting artwork that connected, in some manner, to a line. Artistic expressions of all mediums, sizes and concepts were submitted for consideration and reviewed by guest juror Kelly Bennett, Artist Fellowships Program Officer/Exhibitions Curator for the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
“Our request for art that responded to the theme of LINE produced bold proclamations that tackle today’s dynamic political landscape, the (over)use of mobile devices, and the profound impact of memories. In contrast to these challenging works, quiet details in nature, laundry drying on the line, and depictions of everyday objects round off the range of expressions,” comments Mim Brooks Fawcett, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Attleboro Arts Museum.
